[origin: WO8808666A1] This invention relates to a method of increasing the wear resistance of a horse shoe made of a light, metallic material. The surface of the horse shoe intented to be in contact with the ground is provided with a wearing layer by means of laser which wearing layer comprises carbide particles. The invention also relates to horse shoes made in accordance with the method.

Procédé permettant d'augmenter la résistance à l'usure d'un fer à cheval réalisé à partir d'une matière métallique légère. La surface du fer à cheval destinée à être en contact avec le sol est recouverte d'une couche résistante à l'usure au moyen d'un laser, ladite couche comprenant des particules de carbure. L'invention se rapporte également à des fers à cheval fabriqués selon ce procédé.
