A mattress (10) having a core of pocketed springs is described, which consists of a multiplicity of springs arranged successively which are welded individually into pockets (16) and the pockets are connected to each other in the manner of a row via welded seams (18), a plurality of these rows (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, 12e) being arranged adjacently to form the mattress and being connected to each other at contact points. The object is to carry out the manufacture of the mattress in a simple and inexpensive form, the intention being to avoid tearing of the pockets even under increased loading of the mattress. For this purpose, provision is made for the connection (22) at the contact points of the individual rows to consist of a loop component having a multiplicity of loops, in which, starting from the opposite row, a shaft component having a multiplicity of hooked heads arranged on shafts engages. In this manner, a permanent connection, which can withstand extreme loading, is provided in the region of the contact points of the individual rows in the manner of a press-on closure. <IMAGE>

Beschrieben wird eine Taschenfederkern-Matratze (10) bestehend aus einer Vielzahl von hintereinander angeordneten Federn, die einzeln für sich in Taschen (16) eingeschweißt und die Taschen nach Art einer Reihe über Schweißnähte (18) miteinander verbunden sind, wobei zur Bildung der Matratze mehrere dieser Reihen (12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, 12e) nebeneinander angeordnet und an Berührpunkten miteinander verbunden sind. Aufgabe ist es, die Herstellung der Matratze in einfacher und billiger Form durchzuführen, wobei auch bei erhöhter Belastung der Matratze ein Einreißen der Taschen vermieden werden soll. Hierzu ist es vorgesehen, daß die Verbindung (22) an den Berührpunkten der einzelnen Reihen aus einer Schlaufenkomponente mit einer Vielzahl von Schlaufen besteht, in welche ausgehend von der gegenüberliegenden Reihe eine Stielkomponente mit einer Vielzahl von auf Stielen angeordneten hakenförmigen Köpfen eingreift. Derart wird im Bereich der Berührpunkte der einzelnen Reihen eine dauerhafte, extrem belastbare Verbindung nach Art eines Klettverschlußes geschaffen.
