Abstract (en)

[origin: WO8808802A1] The device (1) for guiding and supporting a railway vehicle according to the invention is a bogie with independent wheels comprising one sleeper (3) and two sills (4) mounted pivotting and inclinable with respect to the sleeper (3). The sills (4) are comprised of two parts interconnected by a hinge consisting of a substantially vertical pivot (8) improving the capacity of the device to take curves on the railway track. The first part of the sill (4) is a longitudinal frame element (8) articulated to the slipper (3) by a hinge (12). It carries a driving wheel (6). The second part of the sill (4) is a stearing arm (7) which is in prolongation of the longitudinal frame element (5) and is integral with the latter by a substantially vertical pivot (8). The stearing arm (7) carries a guiding wheeel (9).
