[origin: JPH02108804A] PURPOSE: To ease assembling by fixing a cup-shaped baffle insert, which is inserted in a bottom of an oil pan through an opening, to the oil pan by means of a collar, a bottom section, a screw and a sealing portion. CONSTITUTION: Connection to a crank casing is performed at a region of a separation face A-A. An oil pan 1 made of plastic is provided on its bottom 9 with a cup-shaped baffle insert 13 made of plastic. The insert 13 has a bottom 15 and a peripheral wall 14 extending vertically to the bottom 9. A tube member 5 comprising a strainer 6 for the oil pan 1 extends in an inner chamber 16 of the insert 13. The bottom 15 exceeds the circular peripheral wall 14 to extend outwards, thus forming a collar 17. The collar 17 rests against a bottom section 19 of the bottom 9 and is supported via a screw 20. The screw 20 is screwed in a metal screw insert 26, and the insert 26 is enclosed by a thick portion 27.
