[origin: EP0359033A1] In a method for renewing the horizontal insulation against rising damp in building walls, the procedure is to make a horizontal groove in the wall 1 to be renewed and to forcibly insert a rust-proof insulating plate 7 into this groove, whereupon the insulating plate 7 is connected to the surrounding wall area by injecting an adhesive compound 8. This method is carried out with a drive-in device which has a ram 4 which is displaceable on an adjustable base 5 and has at one of its ends a profile 3, roughly U-shaped in cross-section, for accommodating in the manner of a thrust bearing the insulating plate 7 to be driven into the wall groove.
