[origin: EP0359284A2] In an espagnolette, the driver is guided in the region of the cover rail and a housing is attached to the cover rail. A follower for moving the driver is mounted rotatably in the housing. This follower is prestressed into a middle position and can be pivoted out of the middle position in opposite directions of rotation. The follower acts on a control element which is guided parallel to the driver in the region of a narrow side of the housing remote from the driver. A follower return spring engages on this control element. A two-arm transmission lever extends from the control element to the driver and is mounted in the housing between the control element and the driver.
