[origin: EP0359881A1] A method of improving the tuft definition and appearance retention of yarn pile fabrics is disclosed, which comprises stabilising real twist in the pile yarn after insertion of real twist by bonding together some or all of the discontinuous fibres of continuous filaments within the yarn. Pile fabrics are disclosed made by a process incorporating this method.
