[origin: EP0359938A2] The invention relates to an outside connector having an auxiliary lock for a multi-pin electrical coupling, consisting essentially of a connector housing and an auxiliary locking element, the connector housing having chambers, arranged side-by-side in a row, for contact elements, each of which has a plug opening on the base side and an opposite insertion opening, a sliding core opening being arranged preferably adjacent to the plug opening, and the auxiliary locking element having a base plate forming the plug face of the outside connector and elastically sprung locking tongues, which are arranged side-by-side, parallel at a distance and are lashed such that they stand vertically, being arranged on the base plate of the auxiliary locking element, which is placed against the base wall of the outside connector housing, which locking tongues have latching tabs in the upper free end region, the latching tabs in each case engaging in a cut-out which forms a passage through the chamber wall to one chamber in each case of the connector housing.
