Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0359950A2] In combat units with a fire control system (1) and secondary systems (2, 3), namely effectors, the aimable target axis of which does not have an earth reference, the target instruction of the secondary systems (2, 3) is made possible by the fact that these are equipped with directional receivers (55), data preparation devices (52, 54) and a fade-in sight (53) which, on the one hand, detect the direction of incidence of the signal transmitted by the main system (1) in relation to their own sighting line (21, 31) and, on the other hand, indicate the supplied instruction information in suitable form in the sight (53). A lead centrally calculated by the fire control system is indicated in the sight (53) of the effector which so aims the gun before firing that the lead mark (47) coincides with the effective target (6) visible in the sight (53); there is no need to determine any lead in the secondary system. An especially favourable embodiment comprises a directional transmitter (76) on the main system (7), with the result that there is no need for agreement on the reference direction between the main system (7) and secondary system (8) and alignment can take place automatically. <IMAGE>
