[origin: EP0359955A2] An inking device for a printing machine has an ink rail device, to which the ink is fed from an ink feed device through an ink supply line. In order to be able to carry out a print requiring only a very small amount of ink with small ink losses, coupling means are provided on the ink rail device and on the ink supply line for their detachable connection. In this case, instead of the ink supply line, an ink cartridge provided with corresponding coupling means can optionally be coupled on. The ink cartridge then has additional coupling means for the connection of a pressurised air feed line. <IMAGE>
