[origin: EP0359974A2] A controllable relief valve is provided in order to increase the driving force of a pneumatically operated driving tool. The relief valve is located directly next to the main valve. The topside of the main valve, which topside is loaded by compressed air, can be short- circuited with the outside air by the relief valve so that the resistance which impairs the relief of the main valve is considerably reduced. <IMAGE>
