To seal off the seams of cover channels, in particular of chemical product lines, which are composed of individual, shell-shaped channel sections abutting in a longitudinal direction and consisting of sheet- metal walls filled with insulating material, provision is made according to the invention, to prevent entry of moisture and exchange of air while enabling relative movements between individual channel sections, for each seam (9) to be designed so as to open outwards in a wedge shape, for the outer sheet (5) of each channel section (4), in the area adjoining the seam (9), to have a bead (11) projecting outwards, and for at least the area of the seam (9) and of the beads (11) adjoining on either side to be covered under preloading by an approximately U-shaped steel band (13) between which and the outer channel wall (5) an elastic sealing strip (12) is clamped. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Zur Abdichtung der Fugen von Abdeckkanälen, insbesondere chemischer Produktleitungen, die aus einzelnen, in Längsrichtung aneinanderstoßenden, schalenförmigen Kanalabschnitten aus mit Isoliermaterial verfüllten Blechwandungen zusammengesetzt sind, ist zur Verhinderung eines Feuchtigkeitseintrittes und eines Luftaustausches unter Ermöglichung von Relativbewegungen einzelner Kanalabschnitte erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß jede Fuge (9) sich keilförmig nach außen öffnend ausgebildet ist, daß das Außenblech (5) jedes Kanalabschnittes (4) im an die Fuge (9) angrenzenden Bereich eine nach außen ragende Sicke (11) aufweist und daß mindestens der Bereich der Fuge (9) und der beidseitig anschließenden Sicken (11) von einem angenähert U-förmigen Stahlband (13) unter Vorspannung überdeckt ist, zwischen dem und der äußeren Kanalwandung (5) ein elastisches Dichtungsband (12) eingespannt ist.
