[origin: EP0360264A2] An arrangement is described for blocking shopping trolleys, transport trolleys or the like. In this connection, this arrangement has a locking device for the receiving and blocking of a locking element which is fastened to each trolley, and an actuating mechanism assigned to the locking device, it being possible to insert a coin or the like into the actuating mechanism, as a result of which the blocking of the locking element is released and a trolley is freed. The locking device is designed as a locking rail, in which the locking element can be guided into the locking rail or can be guided out from the locking rail and is fixed axially sliding there. At one end, the locking rail is provided with the actuating mechanism, which frees the locking rail for the guiding out of a locking element when the coin or the like is inserted, while the other end of the locking rail for such a guiding out of the locking element is blocked or comprises a further actuating mechanism. <IMAGE>
