Abstract (en)
In a process for single- and double-sided electrolytic zinc-plating of stainless steel, the latter in the form of a stainless steel strip is connected as the cathode in an electroplating cell, and metallic zinc is deposited on the stainless steel strip from an aqueous solution of a zinc salt at pH 1.0 to 2.5, preferably 1.5 to 2.0, whereby contact corrosion due to sheet is avoided; this is of great importance particularly in the automobile industry.

Bei einem Verfahren zum ein- und beidseitigen elektrolytischen Verzinken von Edelstahl wird dieser in Form eines Edelstahlbandes in einer galvanischen Zelle als Kathode geschaltet, und aus einer wässrigen Lösung eines Zinksalzes mit einem pH-Wert von 1,0 bis 2,5, vorzugsweise 1,5 bis 2,0, metallisches Zink auf dem Edelstahlband abgeschieden, wodurch - wie insbesondere in der Autoindustrie von großer Bedeutung - eine Kontaktkorrosion mit verzinktem Blech vermieden wird.
