[origin: US4934953A] A junction box is provided for electrical cables comprising a base; a cover; a circuit board; penetration contacts mounted on the circuit board; a cable receiving body for receiving a segment of cable therein, the body being movable back and forth and having slots therein aligned with the penetration contacts to accept the contacts therein as the receiving body is moved toward the circuit board and permit the contacts to penetrate the cable to make electrical contact with at least one conductive core therein; and a set screw for moving the body towards the circuit board and holding the body in abutment therewith.
