Individual workpiece plates (29) to be divided in a program- controlled manner are pushed by means of a feeding device (28) onto the work supporting table (14) of plate-dividing saws. As a result, particles of dust and dirt being deposited on the table supporting surface (40) cause scores on the lower flat side of the plates, which scores cannot be tolerated in the case of plastic-lined workpiece plates. So that score-free positioning of workpiece plates (29) on the work supporting table (14) of the plate-dividing saw (10) can be achieved, it is proposed, in order to transfer a workpiece plate (29) onto the work supporting table (14), either to provide at least the work feeding device (28) or a part (60) of the work feeding device in such a way that it can be lifted relative to the work supporting table (14) or to provide the work supporting table (14) in such a way that it can be lowered relative to the work feeding device (28) and the receiving device. <IMAGE>

Programmgesteuert aufzuteilende, einzelne Werkstückplatten (29) werden mit Hilfe einer Vorschubvorrichtung (28) auf den Werkstückauflagetisch (14) von Plattenaufteilsägen aufgeschoben. Dabei verursachen sich auf der Tischauflagefläche (40) ablagernde Staub- und Schmutzpartikel an der unteren Plattenflachseite Riefen, die bei mit Kunststoff kaschierten Werkstückplatten nicht zu tolerieren sind. Damit sich eine riefenfreie Positionierung von Werkstückplatten (29) auf dem Werkstückauflagetisch (14) der Plattenaufteilsäge (10) erzielen lässt, wird vorgeschlagen, zur Übergabe einer Werkstückplatte (29) auf den Werkstückauflagetisch (14) entweder zumindest die Werkstückvorschubvorrichtung (28) bzw. einen Teil (60) der Werkstückvorschubvorrichtung relativ zum Werkstückauflagetisch (14) anhebbar oder den Werkstückauflagetisch (14) relativ zur Werkstückvorschubvorrichtung (28) und Übernahmevorrichtung absenkbar vorzusehen.
