[origin: EP0361240A1] The invention relates to a dust bag (1) for a suction cleaner, which dust bag can be coupled via its dust inlet opening (2) in alignment to the end (13) of the suction nozzle located in the dust space (14) of the suction cleaner, and at the dust inlet opening (2) of which dust bag a closure device is arranged which can be moved mechanically into the opening position counter to a restoring force holding it in the closed position. A reliable closure of the dust inlet opening (2) when the dust bag (1) has been taken out is achieved independently of the degree of filled contents by the fact that a closure flap (4 or 40) is arranged as a closure device at the front side (10) of the dust bag (1) resting on the end (13) of the suction nozzle so as to be swivellable laterally counter to the restoring force about an axis (5) of rotation lying radially outside the dust inlet opening (2) and laterally offset relative to the point of action of a swivel force.
