Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0361529A2] A voltage controlled oscillator comprises a differential circuit composed of first and second MOS transistors each having a drain connected to a gate of the other MOS transistor and each having a source connected to a constant current source, a capacitor connected to couple between the sources of the first and second MOS transistors, a first current mirror circuit having an input connected to the drain of the first MOS transistor and an output connected to the second MOS transistor, and a second current mirror circuit having an input connected to the drain of the second MOS transistor and an output connected to the first MOS transistor. A current value of the constant current sources is controlled to cause to change an oscillation frequency.
