Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0361600A2] An atomiser for the carburettor of a mixture-compressing internal- combustion engine, having means for the automatic correction of the composition (dosage) of the delivered mixture in accordance with the various operating conditions of the engine, which comprises a feed piece (1) attached to a first vertical tube (4) immersed in a petrol reservoir (V) of constant level (L) and equipped with a petrol spray nozzle (13), and a second vertical tube (16) immersed in the constant- level petrol reservoir (V), surrounding the first vertical tube (4) and defining a gap (20) relative to this, this second vertical tube (16) being closed at its lower end by a bottom (18), through which passes a calibrated hole (19) and being equipped with orifices (17) passing through it at a level higher than the constant filling level (L) of the reservoir (V). Preferably, the first vertical tube (4) has an atmospheric-air intake (6) equipped with a primary air nozzle (14) and an atmospheric-air intake (7) equipped with a secondary air nozzle (15), and inside it has a dividing wall (8) defining a section (10) communicating with the secondary air nozzle (15) and extending downwards in the first vertical tube (4). <IMAGE>
