In a print head for a matrix printer, e.g. needle printer, having an operating head which is rotatably arranged in the end region and has a guide jaw for holding pressure needles extending approximately perpendicularly to the printing direction, a simple design and a reliable mode of operation is obtained in that the cylindrically constructed operating head which receives the guide jaw is mounted in a stop-delimited manner in a central inner bore of the print head by means of a cone seat and is secured by securing means. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Druckkopf (18) für einen Matrixdrucker, z. B. Nadeldrucker, mit einem im Stirnbereich drehbar angeordneten Schaltkopf (19), der einen Führungsstein (26) zur Halterung von etwa senkrecht zur Druckrichtung verlaufenden Drucknadeln (12, 13) aufweist, wird ein einfacher Aufbau und eine zuverlässige Wirkungsweise dadurch erreicht, daß der zylinderförmig ausgebildete, den Führungsstein (26) aufnehmende Schaltkopf (19) über einen Kegelsitz (22) in einer zentrischen Innenbohrung des Druckkopfes (18) anschlagbegrenzt gelagert und über Haltemittel gehalten ist.
