Abstract (en)
[origin: JPH02223297A] PURPOSE: To diffuse sounds so that they become omnidirectional on a horizontal surface by providing two speaker units, two speaker cabinets and the rotary convex-type diffuser of a pear-shaped type, which is supported between diaphragms. CONSTITUTION: One speaker unit 4 is held on the end part of the extending part of the speaker cabinet 1 and the other unit 7 is held on the end part of the speaker cabinet 5 in a truncated pyramid or a truncated cone form constituting a reflecting face 12. The reflecting surface 12 diffuses the other part of the sounds diffused to become horizontal on a part of sound emitted by the opposite speaker unit 4 and on the same shaft so that they become horizontal by the unique deflection device 9 of a rotary concave form, which is arranged between the speaker units 4 and 7. Thus, sounds are diffused so that they become omnidirectional and sound quality can be improved.

Enceinte électro-acoustique omnidirectionnelle comportant deux t ransducteurs (4) pour les graves/médiums et (7) pour les aigus disposés de manière coaxiale leurs membranes se faisant face, le transducteur (4) est maintenu en l'extrémité des prolongements (2) d'un caisson (1) et le transducteur (7) en l'extrémité du caisson (5), une partie des sons émis par les transducteurs (4, 7) étant diffusés au moyen d'un diffuseur (9) placé entre les membranes, l'autre partie étant réfléchie sur les faces (12, 13) des caissons (1, 5).
