Drainage pipes (3) connected to an observation post (14) are provided in the basic protective layer (4). The hazardous waste (8) in the dump is covered, in ascending order, with a protective layer (9), a layer of clay (10) and a layer of humus (11). The refuse dump is bordered by a frame (12) partially sunk in the ground (13). The invention also concerns a process for installing refuse dumps.

Un dépôt temporaire ou définitif de déchets dangereux comprend un bassin (22) partiellement enterré (13), plusieurs couches d'isolation et tuyaux de dégazage (16). Le dépôt est caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend les couches suivantes dans l'ordre ascendant: couche imperméable à l'eau (1), pellicule (2) collectrice d'échantillons d'eau, couche basique de protection (4) composée entièrement ou en partie de déchets à déposer, couche hydrauliquement fixée (5) composée en partie de déchets à déposer, pellicule de protection (6) et couche hydrauliquement fixée (7) composée en partie de déchets à déposer. Ces couches recouvrent le fond et les parois latérales du dépôt. Des tuyaux de drainage (3) reliés à un poste d'observation (14) sont agencés dans la couche basique de protection (4). Les déchets dangereux (8) contenus dans le dépôt sont recouverts, en ordre ascendant, par une pellicule de protection (9), par une couche d'argile (10) et par une couche d'humus (11). Le dépôt est enfermé dans un cadre (12) partiellement enterré (13). L'invention concerne également un procédé d'installation de dépôts de déchets.
