[origin: EP0362523A1] The invention relates to ammunition comprising a launcher (1) and an active charge (2) to be fired from the latter, the active charge being propelled from the launcher with the aid of a propulsive charge (14). According to the invention, it is proposed that the launcher (1) has in the bottom region an electromagnetic coil (6), which can be connected to an electrical supply source and has a movably mounted armature (10), the armature being designed as a striker pin (10) for a percussion cap (13), which fires the propulsive charge (14). In this way, the previously customary electrical ignition of the propulsive charge (14) is replaced by a reliable striker-pin ignition (5). <IMAGE>
