Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0362559A2] In an actuating device (1) for a transportable sprinkler or the like, a water motor (11) has a reducing gear unit (19), whose gear or toothed wheels (41, 42, 43) are located outside the water guide in a separate gear chamber (19) and are therefore dry, the gear chamber (19), however, being integrated into the housing (12) of the water motor (11) in such a way that it is arranged adjacently next to a reversing chamber (23) which serves to guide the water, in which reversing chamber a reversing valve (22) of a reversing device (21) for the alternating reversal of the water motor (11) in both directions of rotation is accommodated. The water motor (11) is input-connected via an output pinion (44) to a carrier (5), a self-engaging overload clutch (77) being arranged in the drive connection. A bypass water guide (86) which works in a pressure-dependent manner and has simple flap valves is additionally provided between the reversing chamber (23) and a rotor chamber (26) which adjoins this axially as well as adjoining the gear chamber (20). Combined with an extremely compact design of the water motor (11) a high functional reliability is thereby produced. <IMAGE>
