A filter for a vacuum cleaner has a filter bag (1) which possesses a stiffening plate (2) with an inlet opening (3). A cover plate (5), which has a perforation (6) in alignment with the inlet opening (3) in the working position, is provided on the stiffening plate (2) and guided parallel thereto. By pulling the cover plate (5), an unperforated portion of the cover plate (5) is placed over the inlet opening (3). In order to improve the serviceability of the cover plate (5), it is of buckle-proof design. <IMAGE>

Ein Filter für Staubsauger weist einen Filterbeutel (1) auf, der eine Versteifungsplatte (2) mit einer Einlaßöffnung (3) besitzt. An der Versteifungsplatte (2) ist eine parallel dazu geführte Lasche (5) vorgesehen, die einen in der Arbeitsstellung mit der Einlaßöffnung (3) fluchtenden Durchbruch (6) aufweist. Durch Ziehen der Lasche (5) wird ein undurchbrochener Abschnitt der Lasche (5) über die Einlaßöffnung (3) gestellt. Um die Nutzungsmöglichkeit der Lasche (5) zu verbessern, ist sie knicksteif ausgebildet.
