Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0362976A2] A device to feed web material in sections to a treatment station is described, in which in each case one of several webs (4), transported in guide channels located above one another and converging in a fan shape towards the treatment station, are optionally advanced by means of a controllable drive device, the front section of this web is separated from the latter after treatment and the end of the web, which is the front end after separation, is withdrawn from the treatment station. For this purpose, the controllable drive device can optionally be brought into engagement with one web in each case in the region of the assigned guide channel for the complete forward and return transport of this web before and after a treatment operation. The drive device preferably has reversibly drivable cylinders (9) and, to produce an engagement between a web and at least one cylinder, guide elements (7, 8) forming the guide channels are preferably swivellable in relation to the cylinders. A printing device, in which, for example, tickets differing by their colour are to be printed, serves expediently as the treatment station. <IMAGE>
