[origin: EP0363295A1] The present invention relates to a device for joining and cutting a moving web on a new winding tube of a continuous-winding machine. Device characterised in that it essentially consists of a transverse blade (5) mounted on a pair of arms (6) pivoting under the action of at least one rapid-action jack (7), the said arms (6) being mounted on a joining device (8) which can be retracted into the rest position, and of a means (9) for applying the web end (1) onto the new winding tube (2). <IMAGE>
