[origin: WO8909836A1] A refractory-gas permeable bubbling plug (1) for a vessel for receiving molten metal has at least one measuring probe (7) for displaying the remaining size of the plug, the tip of said probe being arranged at a predefined distance from the cold end of the plug. The measuring probe (7) comprises a small tube (8) and a wire (9), said wire being movably mounted within said small tube and being preloaded by a spring (12), the wire (9) at the tip of the measuring probe (7) being connected to the small tube (8) by means of a detachable connection which is detachable by the effect of heat or by contact with the molten metal, such as a soldered or a welded joint (10). Said probe also comprises an optical display unit, e.g. a tag (14), being attached to the wire (9) in the section of the measuring probe (7) protruding from the cold end of the plug. When reaching a predefined remaining size, the soldered or welded joint (10) is dissolved by the molten metal and the wire (9) with said tag (14) is pulled down by means of the spring (12).

Une brique de brassage réfractaire et perméable aux gaz (1) pour un récipient recevant du métal en fusion est équipée au moins d'une sonde de mesure (7) pour indiquer la grosseur de résidu de brique et dont la pointe est placée à une distance, choisie auparavant, de l'extrémité froide de la brique. La sonde de mesure (7) contient un petit tube (8) et un fil (9) mobile à l'intérieur, tendu à l'aide d'un ressort (12), le fil (9) étant relié au petit tube (8), à la pointe de la sonde de mesure (7), par un raccordement démontable à la suite d'une action thermique ou d'un contact avec le métal en fusion, par exemple une brasure ou une soudure (10). Dans la partie de la sonde de mesure (7) qui dépasse l'extrémité froide de la brique, le fil (9) est pourvu d'un dispositif indicateur optique, par exemple d'une petite insigne (14). Lorsqu'une certaine grosseur de résidu, déterminée auparavant, est atteinte, la brasure ou soudure (10) se détache par le métal en fusion et le fil (9) avec la petite insigne (14) est tiré vers le bas par le ressort (12).
