[origin: EP0363832A1] In a UV radiating device having a high output, the electrodes (6', 6") consist of wires, which are embedded in a glass dielectric (3). The dielectric is arranged spaced between two UV transparent plates (1, 2). The discharge chambers (8, 9) are filled with a fill-gas emitting radiation under discharge conditions.
