The backrest (4) is connected to the seat (2) via a torsion spring unit (13) arranged as a joint between the seat (3) and the backrest (4); in this case, the torsion spring unit (3) is directly attached to the support device (2) and a bracket (14) arranged at the bottom of the backrest. Via the bracket (14), the backrest (4) is supported on the support device (2) by a hydraulic movement damper (24) with a lock which is linked (23; 22) to the support device (2) and to the bracket (14).
