Abstract (en)
A cylindrical bucket (6) for drilling a vertical hole in the earth is designed to be rockably mounted on a hydraulically driven working machine and has a fixed bucket member (21) which is partially opened at one side and at the bottom and a movable bucket member (26) which is pivotable about an axis (45) adjacent the opening of the fixed bucket member to open and close the opening. The fixed and movable bucket members have such cross-sectional shapes that, when the movable bucket member is in its closed position, the two members cooperate to form a substantially circular shape in cross-section.
