[origin: WO8909403A1] The present invention describes a monoclonal antibody that is directed against an Apo AI/HDL epitope whose expression is substantially unaffected by deamidation. Also disclosed is a polypeptide capable of immunologically mimicking an Apo AI/HDL epitope whose expression is substantially unaffected by deamidation. Diagnostic systems and methods for determining the amount of Apo AI in a vascular fluid sample using a disclosed monoclonal antibody and/or a disclosed polypeptide are also described.

Cette invention concerne un anticorps monoclonal développé contre un épitope de l'Apo AI/HDL dont l'expression est sensiblement non affectée par la désamination. On a mis au point un polypeptide capable de mimer de manière immunologique un épitope de l'Apo AI/HDL dont l'expression est sensiblement non affectée par la désamination. On a aussi mis au point des systèmes et des procédés de diagnostic permettant de déterminer la quantité d'Apo AI dans un échantillon de fluide vasculaire, utilisant un anticorps monoclonal décrit et/ou un polypeptide décrit.
