Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0364861A2] The carding machine is distinguished by the fact that, relative to the axis of rotation (46) of the tambour (17), at least the precarding zone (42), situated between the licker-in and the revolving lid, is subdivided into a plurality of angular regions (45) which all have a uniform angular extension (49) or an integral multiple of this uniform angular extension (49); that, in this zone or in further zones of the carding machine on both front sides of the tambour (17), exchangeable attachment plates (51, 51.1, 51.2), located in pairs opposite each other, can be attached to the carding shields (54), the angular extension of the attachment plates (51, 51.1, 51.2) about the axis of rotation of the tambour (17) corresponding to the uniform angular extension (49) or to an integral multiple of this uniform angular extension (49); and that each pair of attachment plates (51, 51.1, 51.2), located opposite each other, forms with the parts mounted thereon an exchangeable preadjusted module (18.1, 18.2, 18.3, 18.4), the said parts consisting of groups or combinations of identical or different devices of a carding machine, and each one having an angular extension about the axis of rotation (46) of the tambour (17), which extension corresponds to the uniform angular extension (49) or to an integral multiple of this uniform angular extension. <IMAGE>
