[origin: EP0364945A2] An ink ribbon cartridge (10) having an ink ribbon (12) with a plurality of adjacent ink tracks can be displaced relative to a matrix printer head (26) in the writing plane, the printer head (26) being connected fixedly to a printer carriage (24) and the cartridge (10) being diplaceable in respect of the printer carriage (24) and the printer head (26) by means of a motor (34) and a drive (32).
