[origin: EP0364970A2] A buckle for a motor vehicle safety belt system for receiving and locking an insertion tongue is provided with a bolt for fixing the tongue, which bolt can be moved between its release position and locking position, a spring-loaded ejector which presses the tongue in the release position of the bolt out of the buckle casing and a button, likewise spring-loaded which can be displaced in the insertion direction of the tongue, by means of which button the bolt can be moved into its release position. <??>In order to block the button in the event of an acceleration acting on the lock in the opposite direction to the release travel, at least one part of the button is additionally tiltably mounted. As a result, in the event of a corresponding acceleration of the lock, the button moves differently than in the case of a desired release travel. This movement is utilised to block the button. <IMAGE>
