[origin: EP0365441A1] The present invention relates to a retroactive modular keyboard provided with keys enabling a sensation characteristic of the said key to be returned to the user. Each key is one element of a flat, autonomous, parallelepipedal module (1) comprising a motor, a position sensor and means of electrical connection. Each module comprises means for fixing it to the adjacent module, and the keys are connected to a central processing unit in order to confer upon them the desired response by action on the motor and in order to process the signals from the sensor. <IMAGE>
