Relay having a magnet frame shaped essentially as a flat rectangle with an air gap and with a core having two pole pieces and an armature driving contact springs which overlaps said pole pieces and is movable essentially perpendicularly to the plane spanned by the pole pieces or the core, and a coil arranged on the core. In a relay of this type, to provide a compact construction, it is provided that the armature is formed in a manner known per se by two magnetisable and/or magnetic parts (8, 8') which are connected to one another by means of a paramagnetic or diamagnetic connecting part (30), and that the magnet frame (1) engages with its pole pieces into the air gap (9) located between the two magnetisable and/or magnetic parts (8, 8') of the armature which are held essentially parallel to one another, at least one surface delimiting said air gap (9) or located therein being formed by the pole surface of a permanent magnet (10, 10'). <IMAGE>

Relais mit einem einen Luftspalt aufweisenden, im wesentlichen ebenen und rechteckig gestalteten Magnetgestell mit einem zwei Polstücke aufweisenden Kern und einem diese überlappenden und im wesentlichen senkrecht zu der durch die Polstücke bzw. den Kern aufgespannten Ebene bewegbaren, Kontaktfedern antreibenden Anker und einer auf dem Kern angeordneten Spule. Bei einem solchen Relais ist Erzielung eines flächensparenden Aufbaues vorgesehen, daß der Anker in an sich bekannter Weise durch zwei über einen para- oder diamagnetischen Verbindungsteil (30) miteinander verbundene, magnetisierbare und/oder magnetische Teile (8, 8') gebildet ist, und daß das Magnetgestell (1) mit seinen Polstücken in den zwischen den beiden im wesentlichen parallel zueinander gehaltenen magnetisierbaren und/oder magnetischen Teilen (8, 8') des Ankers liegenden Luftspalt (9) eingreift, wobei mindestens eine diesen Luftspalt (9) begrenzende oder in diesem liegende Fläche durch die Polfläche eines Permanentmagneten (10, 10') gebildet ist.
