The arrangement is characterised in that the rollers (21, 22) arranged above the crossband each have in front of the deflection point of the crossband (31), at their ends assigned to the guide device (54, 81), an abrupt narrowing (38), in which the guide device (54) is partially received, and in that a clamping point (58) or a clamping region is formed between the guide device and that deflection roller (25) of the crossband (31) adjacent to it and is located laterally from and at least predominantly above the axis of rotation (26) of this deflection roller (25). <IMAGE>
