[origin: EP0365925A1] Pyrazole amide represented by the following formula (I): <CHEM> where R<1> represents alkyl; R<2> represents hydrogen atom, alkyl, cyclopropyl, alkoxy or alkylcarbonyloxy; X represents hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, alkylcarbonyloxy group or hydroxy group; R<2> and X may combine together to form <CHEM> in which R<9> represents hydrogen or alkyl; one of R<3>, R<4> and R<5> is hydrogen and the others represent independently hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, cycloalkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, alkoxy carbonylamino, alkylthio, alkylsulfinyl, alkylsulfonyl, alkoxycarbonyl, alkylcarbonyl, nitro, cyano, hydroxymethyl, alkoxyalkyl or alkoxyalkoxyalkyl; R<3> and R<4> may combine together to form <CHEM> in which R<1><0> and R<1><1> represent independently hydrogen or alkyl; one of R<6> and R<7> represents hydrogen and the other represents hydrogen, alkyl, alkoxy or halogen; Y represents oxygen, sulfur, sulfinyl, sulfonyl or carbonyl; B represents -CH- or nitrogen; R<8> represents hydrogen or methyl and Z represents oxygen or sulfur, with the proviso that all of R<3>, R<4> and R<5> are not hydrogen atoms when Y is oxygen and B is -CH-, and an insecticidal and miticidal composition containing the pyrazole amide as an active ingredient are described. The pyrazole amide according to the present invention shows excellent insecticidal and miticidal activities.
