La machine comporte, pour l'usinage de chaque portée (2,3) de la pièce à usiner (1), trois patins d'application d'abrasif (13,16a,16b) dont l'un est monté en position fixe sur le bras (7) et les deux autres sont montés sur deux mâchoires (14a,14b) articulées sur le bras (7), de manière que lors du serrage des deux mâchoires (14a,14b), après abaissement du bras (7) sur la portée à usiner, les trois patins (13,16a,16b) soient disposés aux angles d'un triangle équilatéral et exercent une pression uniforme et contrôlable sur la pièce à usiner (1).
