Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0366971A1] A device for preventing dripping in a hot water heater at its overflow (7) open to the outside during heating-up of the water storage tank (9) is proposed. The said device is provided with a water-jet pump (10) which is arranged in a pipe section (3) between a tap valve (2) and a mixing valve (4) of a low-pressure mixing fixture (15). The water-jet pump (10) is connected via a suction pipe (11) to a chamber (12). As long as water is being drawn, the water-jet pump (10) sucks water from the chamber (12). When the drawing is finished, the chamber (12) fills with water again, which is either sucked back from the fixture piping or from the warm water heater. The space which is thereby freed can fill with expansion water on subsequent heating. <IMAGE>
