[origin: EP0367000A2] The device for protecting the visible keyhole of locks which have a fitting 2 located at the visible keyhole 1. Arranged over this keyhole 1 is a protective cover 3 which covers the hole 1 and which can be connected to the fitting 2 by means of a lock 12. The lock 12 has individual locking pins 4 which are arranged vertically in relation to the plane between the fitting 2 and the protective cover 3 and which are supported on springs 5 in the fitting 2. The locking pins 4 are divided into upper and lower pins 6, 7, and when the lock 12 is in the open position the bearing faces between the upper and lower pins 6, 7 coincide with the plane 19 between the protective cover 3 and the fitting 2. <IMAGE>
