Plug device for connecting at least one line of an electric switch arrangement for electrically initiating an air bag, having - two plug device parts with contact elements for the line, - and an auxiliary switch arrangement with two auxiliary contacts for preventing the initiation when the plug device is open, - in particular having a short-circuit bridge arrangement as auxiliary switch arrangement with an auxiliary contact which is movably secured in one of the two plug device parts and is adjustable by an auxiliary contact immovably secured in the other plug device part, - in which the contact elements and the auxiliary contacts close and open respectively at different points of the opening movement - and there is a delay mechanism associated with the plug device which delays the opening movement between closing or opening points of the contact elements and the closing or opening points of the auxiliary contacts.

Steckvorrichtung (1) zum Verbinden von wenigstens einer Leitung einer elektrischen Schaltanordnung zur elektrischen Initiierung eines Airbags, mit - zwei Steckvorrichtungsteilen mit Kontaktelementen (4) für die Leitung, - und einer Hilfsschaltanordnung mit zwei Hilfskontakten zur Verhinderung der Initiierung, wenn die Steckvorrichtung (1) geöffnet ist, - insbesondere mit einer Kurzschlußbrückenanordnung als Hilfsschaltanordnung mit einem in einem der beiden Steckvorrichtungsteile beweglich gehaltenen Hilfskontakt, der durch einen im anderen Steckvorrichtungsteil unbeweglich gehaltenen Hilfskontakt verstellbar ist, - wobei die Kontaktelemente (4) und die Hilfskontakte an unterschiedlichen Stellen der Öffnungsbewegung schließen bzw. öffnen - und der Steckvorrichtung (1) ein Verzögerungsmechanismus (6) zugeordnet ist, der die Öffnungsbewegung zwischen dem oder den Schließ- bzw. Öffnungspunkten der Kontaktelemente (4) und dem oder den Schließ- bzw. Öffnungspunkten der Hilfskontakte verzögert.
