Cover for mattresses or similar seating and lying surfaces for the incontinent, consisting of a piece (1) of stretch towelling material which, in the state of usage, covers the top side (2) of the mattress, surrounds its peripheral end faces (3) and ends in a seam at the underside of the mattress folding under the edge region of the latter, which seam contains an elastic cord holding the piece of material under tension around the mattress, the underside of the piece of material being provided, at least in a central part (6) of its region covering the top side of the mattress, with a coating made of plastic, such as polyvinyl chloride or polyurethane, which is impermeable to the patient's stool and urine. <IMAGE>

Schonbezug für Matratzen oder dgl. Sitz- und Liegeflächen von unter Inkontinenz leidenden Menschen, bestehend aus einem Frottee-Stretch-Tuchstück (1), das im Gebrauchszustand die Oberseite (2) der Matratze abdeckt, deren umlaufende Stirnflächen (3) umschließt und an der Matratzen-Unterseite den Randbereich derselben untergreifend in einem Saum endet, der eine das Tuchstück um die Matratze unter Spannung haltende elastischen Schnur enthält, wobei die Unterseite des Tuchstückes zumindest in einem mittleren Teil (6) seines die Matratzenoberseite abdeckenden Bereichs mit einer für stuhl und Harn des Patienten undurchlässigen Beschichtung aus Kunststoff wie Polyvinylchlorid oder Polyurethan versehen ist.
