Le ski selon l'invention présente une structure légère, et est muni, au voisinage de son extrémité avant, d'une masse d'inertie avant (8). Selon l'invention, la masse d'inertie avant (8) est fixe et placée au voisinage de la ligne transversale de contact avant (5). Elle est de préférence centrée sur ladite ligne transversale de contact avant (5) et s'étend sur une certaine longueur de part et d'autre de la ligne.
