Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0368011A1] The invention relates to a machine for labelling circular cylindrical containers 1 which are moved past a labelling station 4 by a rotating table 3 and there roll off the front side of the label pile 5, removing the front label 6. In order to prepare for the removal, hot glue is sprayed onto the containers 1 by a first gluing member 7 such that when the container 1 rolls off the label pile 5, the label 6 remains stuck to the container 1 with its front edge. The rear edge of the label 6 is glued by a gluing member 9 assigned to the rear edge of the label 6 situated in the pile 5. In order to permit conversion to different formats of containers 1, the boxes 10 of labels, the first gluing member 7 and the second gluing member 9 are arranged on a common slide 11 which is mounted so as to be displaceable towards the rotating table 3, and is prestressed by a spring in this direction against an adjustable stop. <IMAGE>
