Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0368070A2] In a manual device for transferring a film (28) from a carrying ribbon (22) to a substrate, in which, in a housing, the carrying ribbon (22) is guided from a smaller supply reel (3) to a contact edge (33) of an application foot (31), which projects outwards from the lower part of the housing, and from the foot back into the housing onto a larger take-up reel (4), supply and take-up reels (3, 4) being coupled to one another via a sliding clutch which acts in the direction of rotation, and guide means for the ribbon-guide of the carrying ribbon (22) being arranged on the housing, supply reel (3) and take-up reel (4) are arranged axially next to one another as well as inclined at an acute angle to one another. In this connection, the smaller supply reel (3) projects at the bottom into the inner space (24), which is open on the side facing the supply reel, of the larger take-up reel (4), while it lies completely outside the same with its upper side. Furthermore, the sliding clutch is arranged in the central region of both reels (3, 4) and between them. The guide means in the ribbon-guide of the carrying ribbon (22) are arranged between the supply reel (3) and the application foot (31). <??>Lastly, connected after the contact edge (33) of the application strip (32), which is arranged at the end of the application foot (31), there is, inclined at an angle to the strip, a guide edge (34) for the lateral diversion of the carrying ribbon (22) in the direction towards the take-up reel (4). <IMAGE>
