Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0368115A2] The invention relates to a central electrical distribution device, particularly for motor vehicles, for connecting electrical leads to electrical components of a carrier plate arranged in a housing, the housing having a housing tub and a cover which can be connected to the housing tub, and openings for the passage of electrical connecting elements being provided in at least one longitudinal wall of the housing and at least one transverse wall of the housing, the openings in the longitudinal wall being holes which are surrounded by outwardly projecting, preferably integrally formed, first coupling devices, and second coupling devices being provided which are mounted with electrical contact elements connected to electric lines and are designed to permit coupling to the first coupling devices, at least one sealing ring between a first and a second coupling element and at least one sealing ring between an electric line and a second coupling device ensuring a moisture-tight and water-tight arrangement of a first and second coupling device, and a sealing ring likewise being provided between the cover and the housing tub of the housing.
