[origin: EP0368171A2] In a table having a table top and, if appropriate, a frame and three or more table legs attached to the underside of the table top or to the frame, for easy mounting of the table legs a base plate is attached to the underside of the table for each table leg and the base plate and the table leg have at the head of the table leg corresponding guides for the detachable insertion of the table leg into the base plate and, furthermore, a lock fixing the table leg to the base plate is provided.
