[origin: EP0368829A2] The burner comprises a body (1) which is closed by an end plate (2), and means which serve to deliver on the one hand a solid fuel and on the other hand an oxidising gas and which open into this end plate. The means for delivering the solid fuel consist of a central pipe (3) which is arranged along the longitudinal axis of the body of the burner (1), and the means for delivering the oxidising gas are constituted by a plurality of peripheral pipes (4) arranged around the central pipe (3). Preferably, the central pipe (3) ends in a channel (5) which has internally a diverging longitudinal profile, and at least one of the peripheral pipes (4) comprises a terminal part (7) which has internally a longitudinal profile in the form of Laval nozzles. <IMAGE>
